Meet our fantastic Nursery Management Team

Hi, my name is Siobhan, I hold a BA (hons) degree in early childhood studies and prior to joining the Heatons team I worked in a private day nursery for 12 years working my way up to a management position. I pride myself in creating a nursery where children thrive, learn and have fun. I am passionate about the importance of the early years of a child’s life, and the impact quality education has on their future. I have a 6-year-old daughter Amelia who thoroughly enjoyed coming to nursery with me and has now transitioned to school. In my spare time I love spending time with my family playing games, going for walks and visiting new places.
Hi, my name is Lianne, I am a qualified primary school teacher and mum to two daughters; Evelyn is currently in Year 5 at Primary school and Nevaeh was born in May 2022 and is currently in our Norris room. I have over sixteen years’ experience in education and childcare. I spent 10 years teaching in the Early years department alongside Marie at a school in South Manchester. I am passionate about providing an environment where children are happy, have fun and learn through play enabling them to reach their full potential. I am a Level 3 Forest School leader, and I enjoy delivering sessions to our preschool children with the opportunity to explore their natural environment, experiencing and learning new skills such as campfire building, cooking on a campfire and whittling. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going out for walks, bike rides and trips out visiting new places.
Hi, my name is Louise, I hold a BA (Hons) Early Childhood studies degree and my Early Years Teacher Status qualification. I am passionate about helping to create happy, independent and confident children ready for school. I am also the Mental Health First Aider and Apprenticeship co-ordinator where I aim to support all our practitioners, wellbeing and professional development. I have daughter called Lily who is currently in our Norris room. We enjoy going out for walks with our dog, Eric and spending time with our family.

Exploration Hub

Each room is thoughtfully designed to match the developmental stage and natural curiosity of the children within it.

The Mercey Room (Ages 12-24M)

Welcome to the Mersey Room, a warm, fun, and inviting environment where younger toddlers are encouraged to safely explore the world around them. Thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity and confidence, the room provides a secure space where children feel comfortable to move, investigate, and develop independence at their own pace.

The environment supports all areas of learning through engaging, age-appropriate provision that promotes exploration, problem-solving, communication, and physical development. Carefully planned activities encourage toddlers to build early social skills, develop language, and express themselves through play, creativity, and sensory experiences. The layout allows for both active play and quieter moments, supporting children’s varying needs throughout the day.

Our three engaging outdoor areas provide children with an array of opportunities to develop their physical skills, self-esteem and confidence supporting their overall health and wellbeing. Children can nurture their inner 'Bear Grylls' by experimenting in our mud kitchen, climbing and creating dens using natural resources, gardening and learning about nature and the world around us.

Forest School

Our Nursery Forest School area is a rich, exciting outdoor environment designed to spark curiosity and adventure, the space encourages children to connect with nature while developing confidence, resilience, and independence.  The area features a variety of engaging resources and our Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader carefully plans and delivers high-quality sessions, teaching children how to explore the world safely through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Activities such as campfires, safe tool use, making bird feeders, and nature crafts help children develop practical skills, teamwork, and respect for the natural environment.  The Forest School area is a much-loved part of nursery life, where children are encouraged to ask questions, take managed risks, and develop a lifelong love of the outdoors while learning in a safe, supportive, and inspiring setting
